Some Different College Advice

As someone who has been in school for a long while, I have found some loopholes that will make writing easier.

Whenever I feel like procrastinating on writing an essay or don't want to open Microsoft Word or Google Docs, I write my essay on another platform or app. I use my notes app to type parts of my essay or on a Notion page. This removes the formal feel of writing an essay, and it can be done on the phone while on the bed.

As someone who loves to write, I have written assignments on paper that were supposed to be typed but I don't have the time to re-type what I have already written, so I use Google Lens to take a picture of my page and it will pick up the words I have wrote become text. Now, it is not always perfect, so make sure to proofread/edit it to make sure everything is correct. You can also use it as a way to catch what your professor is saying when you are in a lecture.

Another method is using write-to-text, a lot of tablets and phones have them, and if I want my notes typed, without a keyboard, this is the easiest method. I also used this method to write my essays as well.

Lastly, speech-to-text is a great way to make my assignment feel like a podcast.

I use these methods together all the time, for example, when writing a research paper, I write the outline on my tablet on my notes app, depending on the section of the paper, I write on paper, then I use Google Lens to extract the text, or an alternative way is that I use write-to-text on my tablet, to create a typed section of my paper. Whenever I really know a topic, I use speech-to-text to get through that sentence or paragraph faster.
